Haurchefant Greystone is an Elezen(elf) non-playable character (NPC). He is a House Fortemps knight who commands the Ishgardian fort known as "Camp Dragonhead" in Coerthas Central Highlands.
Haurchefant is the illegitimate son of Count Edmont de Fortemps. As a child, he dreamt of becoming a knight.
High Houses of Ishgard
A thousand years ago, after King Thordan's death and the victory against the great wyrm Nidhogg, the remaining four knights of King Thordan's knights twelve, would go on to start the foundation of Ishgard. Each High House has a unique family sigil:
- House Fortemps' sigil is a red unicorn on a black field.
- House Durendaire's sigil is a golden bell on a red field.
- House Haillenarte's sigil is a red rose on a black field.
- House Dzemael's sigil has two spears and a fort on a red field.
What is in a name and a title
Though the circumstances of his birth is viewed in disdain, Haurchefant is some times addressed as Lord Haurchefant. This could be due to his father being the Count of House Fortemps.Haurchefant is denied the Fortemps family name and is given the surname "Greystone". Greystone is the given surname to the illegitimate sons and daughters of Ishgard.
