Wisteria is a Duskwight Elezen from the Black Shroud. She is an orphan and grew up in between orphanages. At one such location, Wisteria met Gem Apple, a Raen Auri. The two regard eachother as sisters.
She also met Foulques of the Mist, another Duskwight Elezen, as a child in one of the orphanages. The two would eventually reunite in their later years and even become romantically involve.
The themes of finding home and family is something deeply tied to Wisteria. I am a child of refugee immigrants and growing up, finding a place to call home was always something I struggled with. To be lost and to be found.
Wisteria is a mesh some of my favorite characters who let me know it is okay to be soft and kind, but not to be overstepped on.

I became of fan of Jessica Brown Findlay after watching Downton Abbey in 2023! I went on to watch her other films and shows and felt her voice would suit Wisteria perfectly. Jessica's voice suits Wisteria in that sometimes it can be soft and airy, but also a determined force when needed.
